Inkstone Photography is the name of my (Rob Heverly's) photography endeavor, and serves as an outlet for my creative and artistic efforts. Inkstone, named after one of the Chinese "Four Treasures of the Study" that was used for grinding and holding ink, is not a commercial undertaking as these are often understood.

This does not mean you cannot retain me to take photographs for you, or that you cannot purchase my photographs in print form. You can. What it means is that I am a freelance photographer, and will not accept all assignments or jobs that come my way. You should not be offended if I decide that what you're after is not something I can capture for you. With a full-time job that I love (I teach law at Michigan State University College of Law), art, and not money, is the primary driver of my photographic interests.

If you are interested in having me shoot a particular subject or set of images for you, contact me using the information E-mail address below. If you are a current client looking for your proof images, check the E-mail you were sent for the direct link. Client proof portfolios are not linked from elsewhere within this site. If you have lost the direct link to your images, contact me as noted below. There is no facility to buy images from this site off of the Web. If you are interested in having a print made, or better yet made and framed, contact me, and I will quote you a price for the print you are seeking at the size you wish.
